AVW Reporting Back From Automechanika Frankfurt 2024

Another successful trade show is in the books! The AVW team had an exciting and productive week at Automechanika Frankfurt 2024. The weather was not great; but that didn’t hamper the enthusiasm and energy at the event. We set up shop alongside 4,200 exhibitors from 80 countries, and our booth enjoyed a steady flow of visitors throughout the week.

What stood out the most was the strong interest in our detailing belt and support equipment—a trend we’ve observed carrying over from previous trade shows. More and more operators are embracing detailing as a strategic way to enhance the customer experience. With the car wash industry growing increasingly competitive, adding new services like detailing is a smart way for operators to differentiate themselves and stay ahead of the curve.

While Automechanika is not primarily focused on car washing, we were pleasantly surprised by the level of curiosity from attendees about the car wash sector. For many, it was their first exposure to the industry, and our team was eager to break down the process and provide guidance. Whether someone is a newcomer or an experienced operator, there’s always room for innovation, and we take pride in helping people find the right solutions to drive their success.

Germany, and Europe as a whole, present incredible opportunities for car wash growth. As more operators realize what’s possible with modern equipment, the path to higher operating efficiency grows clearer — and investing in the right technology from the beginning is key to long-term success.

Next up, we’re heading to Krakow, Poland, for the SHINE Car Wash Show on October 1st-2nd, and we’re already looking forward to returning to Frankfurt for Automechanika 2026, scheduled for September 8th-12th, 2026.
