The Challenge
Royal Shine Car Wash wanted its Mission, Kansas location to serve more of the vehicles on the road.
In a competitive car wash market, turning customers away was not viable. Royal Shine saw a clear need for a wash that could handle Sprinter vans, dually trucks, fleet vehicles, and everyday cars in one location. Many larger vehicles were being sent to standard “truck wash” options that were less convenient for customers.
To make the concept work, Royal Shine needed more than a standard tunnel. The site had to be designed around height, vehicle range, & the ability to deliver a quality wash across different vehicle types.
The Solution
AVW equipment helped Royal Shine bring its Mission location vision to life with a wash designed to handle taller, wider, and everyday vehicles.
Built for Taller Vehicles
At the Mission location, Royal Shine raised the roof to 9’4″ to help accommodate Sprinter vans & other taller vehicles. The site was tested with Sprinter vans measuring 108″ tall, with additional clearance available.
Equipment That Followed the Vision
The equipment had to meet the needs of the build while supporting the overall look function of the wash. AVW’s stainless equipment, raised arches, dryers, & tire shine helped Royal Shine create a tunnel that could manage taller vehicles while maintaining the clean, high-quality appearance operators want customers to see.
Serving Fleet & Personal Vehicle Needs
By expanding the types of vehicles the wash can handle, Royal Shine opened the door to new customer opportunities.
The Mission location can serve fleet customers, local dealers, work vehicles, dually trucks, Sprinter vans, and everyday personal vehicles. For customers who drive service vehicles during the day and personal vehicles outside of work, Royal Shine can meet both needs in one convenient location.
Conclusion
With help from AVW equipment, Royal Shine created a wash designed for Sprinter vans, dually trucks, fleet vehicles, and standard vehicles alike. The result is a flexible, operator-focused site built to meet a growing need in the Kansas City market.
