The Return of the NACS
NACS is an annual tradeshow event featuring the biggest brands from the convenience and retail fueling industries including Coca-Cola, Monster, and Red Bull.
This year, Chicago was the chosen city to host the sprawling networking event that attracts more than 25,000 stakeholders for a one-of-a-kind, hands-on-experience to learn about emerging products and services.
Exhibit booths were transformed into makeshift gas stations showcasing new snacks, drinks and hot food. Red Bull had a live DJ while another company parked a F1 vehicle at its entrance. Celebrity appearances included actors (Kevin Smith), NFL athletes (Rob Gronkowski, Marshawn Lynch, Sammy Sosa), and social media influencers.

The Mat Master
AVW Equipment was present on the tradeshow floor with a booth manned by Marty Martin, AVW’s Channel Sales Manager.
Born in California and raised in Las Vegas where he’s currently based, Marty joined the AVW team two years ago. Almost every week, he travels to a different city to visit potential customers, check out car wash sites and recommend equipment upgrades.
If there’s one product Marty is excited to talk about, it’s the Mat Master.
Launched earlier this year, the Mat Master is the combined work of different AVW teams such as Engineering, Sales, and Leadership working together to address the most common needs of car wash customers. Based on feedback from store locations, customers wanted an on-site interior detail service that could provide a deep clean of cars mats — which require maintenance after daily use especially in the cold winter months with snowy conditions.
That’s when AVW went to work on the Mat Master. AVW engineers created an all-in-one design with a built-in high-pressure pump that delivers clean mats for customers. It’s easy, safe to use, and comes with a convenient foot-pedal. Also, the Mat Cleaner accommodates a wide range of shapes and sizes, from flat mats to deep, laser-measured, floor liners.
